Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct; enlarge; alter; repair; move; demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure; or to erect; install; enlarge; alter; repair; remove; convert or replace any electrical; gas; mechanical or plumbing system; the installation of which is regulated by this code; or to cause any such work to be done; shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in any construction business in the City without first obtaining a contractor`s license or registration issued by the Department and; if required by this Code; after qualification and examination by the appropriate Board of Appeals. License contractors are required to obtain proper permits and inspections. Any person having any record title or legal interest in the building affected by this Notice and Order may appeal any order contained herein; or any action of the Building Official; to the Board of Appeals. This appeal must be made in writing; as provided by the appropriate Code; and filed with the Building Official with a $100.00 appeal fee within thirty (30) days from the date of service of this Notice and order. Failure to appeal will constitute a waiver of all rights to an administrative hearing and determination of the matter. This violation must be corrected July 21; 2026; failure to comply; legal action will be taken; which may include punishment in accordance with Section 1-2-1 of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of the City and County of Pueblo and/or Chapter 1.08 of the Pueblo County Code; as amended. send summons to court after 7-21-2026
