6-301.12 — Hand washing sinks lacked hand washing supplies as required by the code.
Corrective action: Observed the handwashing sink behind the main counter without any paper towels. Discussed with the person in charge that all handwashing sinks need to have the proper supplies to ensure adequate handwashing procedures. Paper towels were restocked during the inspection.
3-202.15 — Cans/packaged food containers were dented or damaged.
Corrective action: Observed a can of hot bean dip severely dented. Discussed with the person in charge about their dented can policy and ensuring that cans with a compromised integrity are discarded or returned to the supplier. The can will be returned back to the manufacturer.
3-501.16 — (A)(2) Food item(s) that require temperature control for safety were cold-holding at internal temperatures greater than 41°F.
Corrective action: Observed several sandwiches cold holding in the open face cold holding units at temperatures around 44°F for more than four hours. Discussed with the person in charge about maintaining and monitoring temperatures throughout the day. Sandwiches were discarded during the inspection and the unit will be monitored moving forward. Please see voluntary condemnation.
None — 37: 3-602.12(C) Consumers were not notified of presence of major food allergens in unpackaged foods as required by the code. Observed a self serve hot holding area without any notice of potential allergens. Discussed with the person in charge about maintaining notice of allergens in the hot holding area for consumers. Inspector provided allergen notice via email.
None — 51: 5-205.15(B) The plumbing system was not maintained in good repair. Observed one of the men's toilets having issues with the plumbing system. Discussed with the person in charge and they are aware of the issue and are currently planned to have it worked on.
6-501.12 — Physical facilities were not cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean.
Corrective action: Observed buildup of soda syrup debris along the wall of the soda machine storage containers. Discussed with the person in charge about increasing the cleaning frequency to prevent attracting pests. Person in charge previously deep cleaned the floors and will begin cleaning the wall as well.
