None — 2: 2-102.12(A) The person-in-charge was not a Certified Food Protection Manager. Inspector will send information on the next available course offerings as well as study material.
2-401.11 — Employee beverages did not meet the requirements in the code.
Corrective action: Observed an employee beverage that did not have a lid and straw per the code.
5-205.11 — Hand washing sinks were observed being used for activities that were not hand washing.
Corrective action: Observed a strainer within the bar sink compartment used for additional activities outside of handwashing. Discussed with the person in charge that designated handwashing sinks should only be used for handwashing to prevent cross contamination. Strainer was removed during the inspection. Hand washing sinks lacked signs telling employees that they must wash their hands. Observed the sink in the bar without a proper sign indicating that employees must wash their hands. Discussed with the person in charge about the need for this type of signage at all handwashing sinks. Inspector provided the signage during the inspection and it was applied during the inspection.
None — 16: 4-501.114(A)-(E),(F)(1)-(2) Chlorine sanitizing solution intended to sanitize food contact surface(s) did not have a concentration between 50-200 ppm along with the corresponding pH and temperature. Observed sanitizer in the three compartments sink and sanitizer bucket in the bar with a concentration of 25ppm. Spoke to person in charge about proper concentration for chlorine sanitizer. Sanitizer was remade during inspection.
3-501.17 — Refrigerated, ready-to-eat food(s) that require time or temperature control for safety and is held for more than 24 hours was not properly date marked.
Corrective action: Observed one container of cut tomatoes prepared on the day of the inspection in the reach in cold holding unit with an old date marking label. Discussed with the person in charge that new date marking labels must be affixed and accurate on containers holding opened or prepared temperature control safety food.
4-302.14 — A test kit or other device that accurately measures the concentration of sanitizing solution was not available at time of inspection.
Corrective action: Observed expired chlorine test strips in the bar and in the kitchen. Discussed with the person in charge that tests strips need to be maintained to ensure accuracy of readings. Test strips were provided during the inspection.
None — 51: 5-205.15(B) The plumbing system was not maintained in good repair. Observed the handwashing sink in the kitchen with a consistent drip leak. Discussed with the person in charge about maintaining their plumbing and they said they have a work order in place to get it fixed.
6-403.11 — Personal belongings were stored in an unapproved area.
Corrective action: Observed 1) personal food items being stored above consumer items in the fridges in the kitchen. 2) personal drink on food prep counter next to three compartment sink. Spoke with person in charge about creating a designated area away from consumer items for personal belongings and food items. Food items were moved during inspection.
