5-205.11 — Hand washing sinks were observed being used for activities that were not hand washing.
Corrective action: Observed rags within the handwashing sink. Discussed with the person in charge that the handwashing sink must only be used for handwashing activities. Hand washing sinks lacked signs telling employees that they must wash their hands. Observed no signage for handwashing at the handwashing sink. Discussed with the person in charge that handwashing sinks must be designated sinks and have signage to inform employees that they must wash their hands. Signage was provided during the inspection.
None — 28: 7-202.12(A)(2)-(3), and (B) Poisonous or toxic materials were not used in accordance with manufacturer's directions. Observed no-splash bleach being used to sanitize food contact surfaces. Discussed with the person in charge that only bleach that is food safe without added chemicals or fragrances must be used to prevent the buildup of toxic substances. New bleach will be purchased that is food safe according to manufacture's directions.
6-501.112 — Dead or trapped birds, insects, rodents or other pests were not removed from the establishment often enough to prevent accumulation, decomposition, or the attraction of pests.
Corrective action: Observed a buildup of dead ants in the dry storage area. Discussed with the person in charge about increasing the cleaning frequency to remove the dead insects and prevent attracting more pests to the premises.
4-302.14 — A test kit or other device that accurately measures the concentration of sanitizing solution was not available at time of inspection.
Corrective action: Observed expired test strips at the facility. Discussed with the person in charge about maintaining testing equipment to ensure proper readings of chemical sanitizing solutions. New test strips were provided during the inspection.
