Corrective action: Observed hand washing sink near the dry storage area being blocked by boxes and cleaning supplies. Spoke with person in charge about ensuring hand sinks are easily accessible during all hours of operation.
3-501.16 — (A)(2) Food item(s) that require temperature control for safety were cold holding at internal temperatures greater than 41°F.
Corrective action: Observed several temperature-controlled items that were from shipment sitting out and temping at 50 degrees F for more than an hour. Spoke with person in charge about ensuring items are put in the walk to obtain proper cold holding temperatures of 41 degrees and below. Items were stored into the walk-in cooler and were brought down to proper temperatures during inspection.
4-501.11 — Utensils or equipment were not maintained in good repair or condition.
Corrective action: 1.) Observed standing cold holding unit unable to fully close. Spoke with person in charge about a new seal for this door and to ensure temperatures are kept consistent and monitored until fixed. 2.) Observed an active leak coming from the pizza toppings cold holding unit. Spoke with person in charge about putting in a work order for this item.
5-202.13 — Observed the mop sink hose lying on the bottom of the sink, creating a risk of backflow when water levels rise.
Corrective action: Spoke with person in charge about raising the hose when not in use.
6-501.16 — Mops were not placed in a position that allows for air-drying without soiling walls, equipment or supplies.
Corrective action: Observed wet mop near the mop sink drying in the mop bucket during inspection. Spoke with person in charge about proper position for drying mop to prevent the risk of contamination and build up.
