Corrective action: Observed hand washing sink in the kitchen area being blocked by a mop sink. Employees moved mop sink during inspection and education on ensuring hand washing sink is always accessible was provided. 2.) Hand washing sinks were observed being used for activities that were not hand washing. Observed employee use hand washing sink to clean thermometer. Spoke with person in charge about ensuring hand washing sinks is used for hand washing only.
3-501.16 — (A)(2) Food item(s) that require temperature control for safety were cold-holding at internal temperatures greater than 41°F.
Corrective action: Observed several items in the walk in cooler with internal temperatures of 48-51 degrees F for an unknown amount of time. Per person in charge a work order has been put in for this item. All temperature-controlled items were discarded during inspection and other coolers will be used for any temperature controlled item until walk in is fixed. See voluntary condemnation.
4-301.11 — The equipment available is not capable of cooling, heating, or holding foods at the temperatures required by the code.
Corrective action: Observed the walk in cooler with an ambient air temperature of 50 degrees F for an unknown amount of time. Person in charge has a work order put in for this item, and will use other coolers until inspector can verify item is repaired.
6-501.114 — The premises were not maintained free of unnecessary items and/or litter.
Corrective action: Observed old equipment being stored in the back kitchen area. Spoke with person in charge about the removal of old equipment.
6-403.11 — Personal belongings were stored in an unapproved area.
Corrective action: Observed several employee items being stored in the kitchen area. Spoke with person in charge about designated areas away from food prep for these items. Per person in charge a designated are provided and will remind staff.
